Helen is based in Austin, Texas, and holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Texas at El Paso and a B.A. in Rhetoric and Writing from the University of Texas at Austin. A 2025 Tin House Scholar, her work has appeared in Psst! Magazine, The Sappho Diaries, and CityAlchemist.co. A queer immigrant, she is a former U.S. Army combat medic and professional dominatrix with a love for dark stories and Indigenous spirituality.
